PATRON OF THE INTERNET Isidore of Seville became Archbishop of Seville c.601. He required seminaries in every diocese. Among other works, he wrote a rule for Religious Orders, a dictionary, an encyclopedia, a history of the Goths, and a history of the world beginning with creation. He was proclaimed Doctor of the Church by Pope Benedict XIV in 1722, and became the patron of computer users and the Internet in 1999 (Feast Day April 4).
