| READERS' RESPONSE:
Hello Mrs. Murdy,
I am a Ministry Consultant for RPI, and I wanted to let you know that I
have thoroughly enjoyed your book "From Pharaoh to the Father."
I especially liked the discussion questions at the end of each chapter,
which I felt were on-target. I also enjoyed the juxtaposition of the
Exodus story with the Lord's prayer. I wanted to let you know that in the
new catalog I'm working on, I'll be highlighting this book as one of my
favorites. I've asked our new Editor, Helen St. Paul, to write a
"new" description for this book for the catalog because I feel
it has not been adequately represented in other catalogs. Thank you so
much for your writings. I have LOVED recommending this book to my friends,
Bless you and have a joyous Thanksgiving, Evangelina Preciado, Ministry
Consultant, Resource Publications, Inc.
Dear Kay,
I have just finished reading your wonderful book which you kindly
presented to me, "From Pharaoh to the Father". Congrats, it is
brilliant! What a wealth of useful and necessary details you have shared
about the Old Testament customs and meanings of words, but also about the
New Testament. In taking us backwards through the Lord's Prayer and
forwards through the book of Exodus, you have helped integrate and develop
in an anointed way the essence of spirituality of both Judaism and
Christianity. Your practical comments and questions are also a help to
personalize this spirituality and authenticate it, through prayer and
reflection, for each one of us living in this modern world. Thanks again
for your gentle scholarship and deep wisdom. May many read and profit from
this book! Love and prayers,
Fr. Fio Mascarhenas, S.J. Bombay, India
Dear Kay,
"From Pharaoh to the Father" Indeed! It is a great title, and
looks like a great book. I will look for it in our Paulist bookstore in
Washington. My best to you and Bob and keep up all the good work as the
great educators of Los Angeles! Sincerely, Fr. Lawrence Boadt, CSP.

Kay, Congratulations! I'll
be watching for it in the Christian Book Store, and other places. You can
rightly be proud of it (with the appropriate amount of humility, of
course!!!!). That is good news, and will encourage me to continue
with my resolve not to teach full time next year, in spite of two
excellent offers. I do want to get back to the research and writing. You
give me encouragement. Keep up your writing and publishing talents,
Kay. What a way to be a guide to others. Again, congratulations!

Thanks, Kay. Looks
"provocative".
